The PowerFlash Interface sends an X10 signal in resonse to a motion detector, photocell, magnetic window switch, you name it! If it's got output, it can probably trigger the PowerFlash. The module can be activated by a low voltage (6-18VDC) or a dry contact (no voltage) switch closure. Once activated, the module sends an X10 signal. The module becomes deactivated when the low voltage is removed or the dry contact switch is opened.
Use as a burglar alarm interface! Wire the output from your existing security system to this module and set the module to Mode 2. When your alarm trips, the PowerFlash Module can cause your indoor and outdoor X10 lights to flash! This not only scares your intruder but also makes your intruded house quickly visible to others (neighbors, police enroute, etc.). Use the PowerFlash Module with any input to activate a Beeper (such as the PUM01 Universal Module or PHH02 Chime Module) or as input to a "smart" home automation system such as the CommStar Whole House Controller. The PowerFlash also activates the Powerhorn Remote Siren (PSH01).
 Powerflash Security Interface
This device connects
to a dry contact such as the external connectors on an existing, wired in, security
system, and transmits 1 of 3 signals when tripped.
- Mode 1: Turns all X-10 controlled lights ON along with 1 appliance.
- Mode 2: Flashes X-10 controlled lights ON and OFF.
- Mode 3: Turns 1 selected X-10 address ON and OFF.
Works with Remote Chime
(PHH02).
The Powerflash burglar
alarm interface provides a way to interface conventional security systems, and
other contact/voltage output devices, into X-IO PRO powerline controlled products
to turn on lights, flash lights, activate wired-in alarm sirens etc.
The Powerflash module
provides terminals for inputs in two configurations according to the setting of
the INPUT slide switch:
- Input A: 6-18VAC/DC or audio.
- Input B: Dry contact closure (Form "C").

| Attach
the X10Pro Wireless Door/Window Magnetic Contacts
PDS01 to your garage door in such a way so that the sensor and magnet
are together when the garage door is fully closed. Connect the Red and Black
wires from the contacts to a Powerflash Interface
and plug the Powerflash Interface into any convenient wall receptacle. Set
the Powerflash to Mode 3, Input B and then set the House and Unit Code to
the same code as the X10 Lamp Module, X10
switch or other X10 signaling device you want to use. When your garage
door opens, it will turn on your designated light and turn it off again
when it closes. Set the X10 Chime Module to the
same code and you will also hear a chime when the door opens. |
